Dave and Adell's wedding at Rowton Castle in Shropshire

Located on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, Rowton Castle was a new wedding venue to me, thankfully a pre-wedding recce had allowed me to assess the best photo-locations and plan the day ahead.

A misty start soon cleared to excellent weather, blue skies and a big sun, with Rowton Castle providing a superb backdrop, the photographs just kept coming and coming, even the sunset didn't disappoint with a superb purple sky which was still evident an hour later as we headed outside again for some after dark images.

Lens Flare - most photographers will shy away from shooting into the sun, although unpredictable it is possible to control some of the artefacts and create superb images. Here Dave and Adell cast shadows on the lawn as the sun streams down behind them.
