Emma and Peter's pre-wedding photo shoot at the Parsonage Hotel in Escrick near York.

I caught up with Emma and Peter on Monday afternoon at the Parsonage at Escrick Hotel between York and Selby. Marrying at the Parsonage early 2010, but living and working in London, the couple were keen to complete another of their pre-wedding planning jobs whilst in Yorkshire and so combining a pre-wedding shoot with a chat through the days plans and photographic requirements  ticked two more boxes. The weather could have been better, but thankfully Emma and Peter were brilliant and we dodged the showers to produce some great results.  Leave a comment about this post

Joanne and Mark's Pre-wedding shoot, Leeds

Joanne and Mark will be married next month at Wood Hall near Wetherby. In preparation for their wedding day we met up on the outskirts of Leeds for a pre-wedding photo shoot and to discuss their wedding photography requirements. Hannah and Craige's wedding, Kings Croft Pontefract

Hannah and Craig were the lucky winners of the Wakefield Express wedding of the year competition for 2009 and as the wedding of the year photographer I was asked to photograph their wedding at Kings Croft in Pontefract.

I think it's only fair to mention the excellent support the wedding of the year receives from local businesses, Wedding flowers were provided by Mel at Passion Flowers, Hair and Make Up by Janet at Your True Colours , the wedding car came from R&S Cars in Upton and Jolly Lolly provided the wedding stationery.

Ant and Emma's wedding, Walton Hall at Waterton Park Wakefield

Ant and Emma were married in a civil wedding ceremony Saturday at Walton Hall near Wakefield. Following the wedding ceremony we had literally a few minutes before the imposing clouds unleashed the forecast heavy rain and with confetti thrown, some car shots taken and a big group shot completed in record times we made it under cover just in time!

Thankfully the weather didn't dampen spirits and Ant, Emma and all their guests had a great day. Thankfully by late evening the weather had lifted again and we were able to go outdoors for some night photographs.

Phil and Amanda's Pre-wedding photo shoot in York

Phil and Amanda were guests at Glen and Penny's wedding at Hazlewood Castle in May, booking me the same day for their own wedding in December. Marrying at Skelton Church Phil and Amanda will then be celebrating with their guests at St William's College in the shadow of York Minster. We met up at St William's College on Friday for a talk through the wedding plans and also a pre-wedding shoot utilising the nearby Minster Gardens.

Gen and Neil's wedding, Walton Hall at Waterton Park Wakefield

Only a few days since their pre-wedding shoot at Waterton Park on Wednesday we were quickly back into the swing of things as I joined Gen at a beauty salon in Scissett near her parent's home. Following some preparation photos I headed off to Gen's parents for the detail photographs whilst Gen finished off at the Salon.

With Gen dressed, it was time to trip over to Walton Hall at Waterton Park to catch up with Neil and the groomsmen before the wedding ceremony. A short session with the guys bagged the required photographs whilst still allowing them to finish their drinks and chat to guests before making their way over the bridge for the civil wedding ceremony.

Gen had been rather organised pre-wedding and a number of groups shots ensued, thankfully averaging more than one group per minute meant we could quickly move onto to informal candid shooting whilst ensuring the formals were not so arduous for the guests who were kept waiting the minimum amount of time, although with plenty of champagne, I don't think it would have been so bad had we have taken a little longer!

Following the wedding breakfast we used the bridal suite for some more photographs before venturing back outside in the dark for night shots of the happy couple, all before first dance! Gen and Neil had an elaborate routine which was very well executed, despite some nerves and even a last minute run through in the bridal suite before performing in front of their guests! Well done guys!
